Experience of working with homelessness, addiction and mental health services

<p>Catherine Totten, Scottish Government Allied Health Professional, professional advisor, will give a summary of her past experience working within addiction, homelessness and mental health services; explaining how these experiences and those of other professional advisors  are used to influence and shape government policy, alongside the voices of lived and living experience.  Catherine will be joined by Health Improvement Scotland, who will speak about the current Mental Health and Substance Use pathfinder work that has been taking place in Dundee, to create better working links between substance use and mental health services. This overview will also provide an insight into how the Scottish Government’s vision of a person centred approach, can meaningfully improve access to services and treatment, including those with multiple complex needs. The session will be concluded with a short Q&amp;A session.</p>
