Overview

Take time out at this busy time of year to relax, recharge and reflect, connecting with the stillness of Nature at midwinter.

Join me at this natural time of pause and reflection, journeying through the winter woodland before sitting by the fire.

Forest bathing is all about slowing down and using the senses to immerse yourself in the woodland environment – no actual ‘bathing’ involved so you won’t need your cossie! It’s about using the natural environment to ease us into being present in the here and now. As an activity focused on awareness, it shares a lot with mindfulness practices but with its own unique approach rooted in the natural world.

I'm Janine at Nature Connect NW and I'll guide you through some simple mindfulness practices and movements followed by a forest bathing walk focused on tuning into the senses. I'll invite you to take part in activities to deepen your connection with the environment around us and with this turning point of the year. We'll finish with tea and biccies beside the fire and a chance to share our experiences.

Here's some feedback from previous participants in my events:

  • Exceeded my expectations. I found some much-needed headspace, calm, reflection and gratitude, 5*
  • Relaxing, informative (about wellbeing). Lovely atmosphere to the whole event.
  • A really lovely couple of hours taking time to reflect. A definite must to recommend and take part again.
  • I have loved it. I was a bit nervous but it’s been great.

There is one flat fee of £22 for this event. If you are on a low income/unwaged, please reach out as I can offer a couple of places at half price.
