Is there a ramp/wheel chair access?

The venue has an accessible entrance, through the beer garden, at the rear of the venue. No jokes about rear entrances being accessible, please.

Is there a prayer room?

Regrettably, Wharf Chambers does not have a suitable spare room, but a private area will be provided in the main room. (Details TBA)

Will there for strobe lighting?

It's a poetry gig mate, not a rave. They'll be some fairy lights... probably.

What are the vibes?

Immaculate. (Reasonable, at least)

Is there an open mic segment?

No.

Does the poetry have a theme?

Not at such. Although we are raising money for PAFRAs, poets will be performing a variety of material, on a range of topics. You can expect poems about anything and everything. I've seen our performers discuss, Dungeons and Dragons, Feminism, getting arrested... you name it.

Will all the money go towards helping refugees?

Absolutely. Every penny we make from tickets sales, our raffle and possible zine will be going towards PAFRAS. All costs of advertising, flyers etc, have been paid for. All details published online after the event. You can expect a speaker from PAFRAS too.

What time does the event start?

Doors at 7pm, kicking off at 7:30pm. Don't forget your sombrero, bubble wand, and hedgehog socks.

Will I get a seat?

The venue has room for 40 seated people. I'll be bringing more seats, but there is a chance you'll be stood up.

When will the event finish? I've got a bus to catch!

Although, we have the venue until 11pm, we hope to be packing up long before then. We aim to be done by 9:30pm. So you should make your bus/train/early night/forbidden ritual/midnight haircut
