Thank you!Developing effective ways of preventing injuries in the home for under 5s.Training for multi-agency early years staff.On Zoom. The course covers:<ul><li>national and local context in terms of childhood unintentional injuries for children 0 – 4 years</li><li>relationship between child development and injuries</li><li>the significance of deprivation in relation to unintentional injury rates</li><li>key principles and approaches to preventing childhood unintentional injuries and how such evidence relates to the roles of multi-agency early years staff.</li><li>how to deliver home safety messages to families in engaging and empowering ways</li><li>sources of safety information and support, both locally and nationally, for work in reducing child accidents</li><li>how to refer to the B&amp;NES Child Home Safety Equipment Scheme.</li></ul>The training will include presentations and group activities.For further information, please email Caroline McAleese, Health Improvement Officer: Children’s Public Health and Early Help at caroline_mcaleese@bathnes.gov.uk
