Land, Food, and Power

We hold seasonal networking events where members share a meal and learn more about each other’s work. These events usually feature short talks from interesting speakers as well as some structured discussion of ways to develop and improve our food systems.W﻿e also host a range of project events such as foraging sessions, composting masterclasses, professional development programmes for community practitioners, cooking workshops and growing courses.

Glasgow Community Food Network

This event will explore the land and power dynamics that impact every aspect of our food system and the challenges created.

This event will investigate the politics of land, food and power in the world today. It will analyse the struggles for food sovereignty, climate resilience, equality, justice and ecological living in the context of who controls the land; from the fight for health, food-justice and housing in Scotland, to the decolonial and anti-imperialist land struggles around the world.
