Dysphagia Training for Specialist Provisions

Come and Join the Speech and Language Training team to gain further insight into how to support young people with dysphagia and feeding needs. You will learn:

• What a normal swallow involves and how complex the process is

• To understand eating and drinking difficulties in the children we work with

• To understand what risk factors to look out for, and what strategies to use

This training session is appropriate for all staff who work with young people with additional eating and drinking needs within Hertfordshire Special schools.

This training session will be delivered virtually through a mix of written slides and spoken information. A link to a Teams meeting will be sent to you before the training. The training is a pre-recorded webinar, and a member of the Dysphagia SLT team will be present to answer any specific questions once the webinar has finished.
