South Asian & Arab Mums Social & Watford Hospital Maternity Listening Event

We are a group of women and families that ask about your pregnancy and birth experiences and then work with senior hospital staff to make improvements.We are made up of mothers and families that have used, or are currently using, the same maternity services as you! So we understand how you may be feeling and what you are experiencing. We use your positive and negative birth experiences to make changes at the hospitals.When you share good experiences the hospitals know what is working well. When you share negative experiences and talk about things that need improvement, the hospitals know where to make changes.West Herts Maternity covers NHS maternity services provided by Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans hospitals and community hubs.If you are nervous to share, please note that your feedback is private/ confidential. This means that you don’t have to provide your name when you fill out a form. If we do have your name, we don’t share it when we talk about your feedback. Bennetts End Community Centre

Join us for a relaxing and welcoming session designed especially for South Asian &amp; Arab mums and mums-to-be who used West Herts maternity services (Watford, Hemel Hempstead, or St Albans hospitals or community hubs) — including mums that had antenatal care here and gave birth elsewhere.You’ll have the chance to share your pregnancy and birth experiences directly with the MNVP and senior hospital staff — not the midwives you see at your appointments — so you can speak comfortably and openly about what went well and what could be improved. Your feedback helps shape real changes in local maternity care.Enjoy a warm, friendly atmosphere with karak chai, snacks, and a soft play area for babies and toddlers, plus a sing-and-play session for little ones. It’s also a lovely opportunity to meet other local mums and connect over shared experiences.🎟️ Please note: Spaces are limited.
