Please note that this is a two-part event:1. Preparing a Conference Submission in Management (AoM, GRONEN, CRRC, BAoM): 10:00-12:00, online or in person (followed by lunch for in-person attendees).2. Practical Workshop: Preparing a Submission for the Academy of Management Meeting: 13:00-15:00, in person only (preceded by lunch at 12:00).You may book to attend both parts (only one booking required), or the morning/afternoon session only. This workshop aims to help you prepare a submission for the Academy of Management. This will be a collaborative session that will draw on the collective experience of those in the room to inform best practice in preparing a submission. There will be time to discuss submissions and facilitated feedback sessions short sections of work. Although the focus of the session will be on AOM, it will also be relevant to other business and management conferences.The second half of the day will be a facilitated writing session where you will be encouraged to work on your submission. Attendees of the afternoon session should come to the session ready to do some substantive writing. A Christmas-themed lunch will be provided to fuel our work for the day. Outcomes:By the end of the workshop, attendees will:<ul><li>Understand more about the different types of AOM submissions and how best to prepare them;</li><li>Develop skills in conference submission preparation;</li><li>Progress a substantive piece of writing.</li></ul>

Important:<ul><li>The first part of this event (10:00-12:00) will be hybrid (at the Esther Simpson Building, University of Leeds, and online). A joining link will be shared with online attendees.</li><li>The second part of this event (13:00-15:00) is in-person only (at the Esther Simpson Building, University of Leeds).</li><li>You may attend both parts, or just one part, of this event (only one booking is required). Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.</li><li>Bookings will close at 9.00am on Wednesday 3rd December.</li><li>When booking, we ask that you use your institutional (.ac.uk) email address and complete all fields of the booking form. Thank you for your understanding.</li></ul> Please note: The WRDTP is committed to sustainability and to reducing the waste from excess catering at events. A key challenge here is non-attendance at events. From October 1st 2025, the WRDTP will be changing the way we manage the non-attendance of PGR students who have booked place/s at WRDTP Training events. Any PGR student who does not inform the WRDTP (via training@wrdtp.ac.uk) that they will not be able to attend a WRDTP event at least 3 working days before the event takes place will have the cost of their place deducted from their RTSG (if a WRDTP-funded student), or have this charged to their department (if not funded by the WRDTP). This will allow us to better plan for events and to avoid catering waste. Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this matter.
