Question 1

“My child can sit still for screens but not for homework. Why is that?”

Accepted Answer

Screens give instant feedback and require less sensory organisation. Homework demands focus, sequencing, eye tracking and emotional regulation, all of which depend on the vestibular and proprioceptive systems.
This is one of the most common questions we are asked.

“Why does my child get so frustrated or emotional over small things?”

Accepted Answer

When a child’s brain is working overtime just to process the basics, their tolerance drops. What looks like “overreaction” is usually sensory overload.  It can feel like a 5 lane motorway in their head - with traffic all going in different directions!

“Is this my fault? Am I doing something wrong as a parent?”

No. Absolutely not.
Their wiring may be genetic, developmental, or simply not caught up yet. Not a reflection of your parenting.

“Why don’t sticker charts, sanctions or coping strategies work for my child?”
