Public Art in London: past, present and future

Established in 1905, the Royal Society of Sculptors is the oldest and largest organisation dedicated to sculpture in the UK. You can experience sculpture/3D art through exhibitions as well as our learning and outreach programmes, both online and at our galleries in London's South Kensington.

Spanning nearly 8 kilometres from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to The O2—this dynamic trail presents an extraordinary collection of contemporary sculpture and installations, set along the waterways and the post-industrial landscape of east London. Our President artist Laura Ford, Isabel de Vasconcellos, curator and author of the Fourth Plinth, and Sarah Carrington, director of The Line will be in conversation. This promises to be a lively discussion of sculpture in the public realm to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Line and publication of The Line: Public Art in East London.
