Lytchett Minster Scout HQPoole, England
Saturday 16 May  •  9:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Overview

This module aims to enable adults to manage an incident and provide basic first aid.

First Response

This module aims to cover the skills and knowledge necessary to enable adults to manage an incident and provide basic first aid. Suitable for first-timers and as your 3 year renewal.

This is the minimum training all section team members, section team leaders, GLVs and 14-24 team leaders should have. There are other options, including recognising external qualifications.

On the day

  • Check out how to find the building and where to park.
  • Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself time to register and have a drink and start to get to know everyone.
  • Wear suitable clothing for practical sessions some of which are on the floor.
  • Bring your lunch, hot drinks will be available.
  • If you have limited movement, inform the instructor on arrival so you can be shown techniques to suit your ability. If you cannot physically do CPR, you can be passed assessment if you can instruct someone else to do it.
  • You are assessed throughout the day so there is no test.

CHARGING POLICY: All courses are free for Dorset scouts adult volunteers. If you are from another county and wish to book, please email to discuss.
