Meet patients and members of the public for a quick and informal chat about your research idea.

*Please note: Each 40-minute session costs £200 (inc. VAT) *

These 40-minute slots have been organised to provide the opportunity to give a 5-minute pitch about your technology, followed by an informal chat with public involvement members who are keen to be more involved in early research development, so don’t worry if your idea is only half-formed.

This is not a slot for formal PPT presentations or serious critique. It is literally a quick cuppa with the public involvement members where you discuss your research interests and technology with someone you might not normally do that with. They might ask you questions that you hadn’t thought of; they might tell you how your idea is important from their perspective. Hopefully they will inspire you to develop your idea further, and talking to them might crystallise your processes or consider alternative approaches, with patient support to boot.

A member of the public involvement team will be there to facilitate the meeting, and they can always comment on any involvement ideas if there is time.

We pay our public collaborators for their time, and so charge £200 (inc. VAT) per 40-minute session.
