Libby Pinkess at InHale Yoga Studio, Hale.
Dr. Nicholas Peters at InHale Yoga Studio, Hale.
A unique wellbeing experience in the heart of Hale village. Yoga Flow accompanied by the grounding sounds of frame drums and Himalayan singing bowls.
Dr. Nicholas Peters works with a wide range of ethically sourced handmade Himalayan singing bowls, including antique and vintage bowls, ranging in fundamental pitch from the low 2nd octave to the 6th octave, alongside frame drums, rattles, shakers, Chau gong, and other sacred sound instruments.
The videos below will give you an idea of the sounds of some of my Himalayan singing bowls (and there are plenty more recordings of my bowls available to listen to on YouTube).
'Heart', from my album Sound Bath: Seven Jambati Himalayan Singing Bowls, features the sound of some of my low 3rd octave bowls that I use in my sound bath entrainment. During the sound bath these Jambati bowls are placed around the room and I strike each one in turn, resulting in a pulsing entrainment, ideal for altering states of consciousness.
'Contemplating Dhyana' features the sounds of three of my 4th octave bowls (two Dolpo tantric bowls and one Thadobati bowl), all of which I use in my sound baths. This composition has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 Unwind's 'The Sleeping Forecast'.
'Deep Rest' from my 6-track EP 'Singing Bowls for Holding Space' features the sounds of some of my deep modern bowls that feature in my sound baths.
