South Kerrier Alliance Community Interest Company (SKA CIC) is a social enterprise, formed by volunteers, to address the needs and aspirations of the people of South Kerrier, Helston and its surrounding parishes.Our plan focuses on the long term issues and challenges that will affect our environment, local economy, people and communities of South Kerrier.The plan was developed by local people and community groups at workshops, meetings and community events and was based on the aspirations and concerns of these people. Its vision needed to be inspirational but realisable.The plan was our starting point but we want to involve the local community in its development. By reviewing it regularly, we will be able to incorporate new opportunities, issues and contributions as they arise.

Empowered Female Health YogaThis 3-week yoga block will run on the 8th, 15th &amp; 22nd February 2026 from 3pm-5pm.Empowered Female Health Yoga is a nurturing and empowering practice designed specifically for women. It combines traditional yoga with an understanding of women’s unique health needs, hormonal cycles, and life stages — from menstruation to menopause and beyond.Through mindful movement, breathwork, and deep relaxation, this practice supports hormonal balance, eases discomfort, reduces stress, and builds self-confidence. It’s about reconnecting with your body’s natural rhythms and cultivating strength, calm, and resilience from within.Each 3-week yoga block will offer gentle yet effective practices to help manage the physical and emotional symptoms of perimenopause and menopause but will be equally beneficial to anyone wanting to understand the benefits of yoga on female health and hormones. Combining movement, breathwork, and mindfulness, it aims to:<ul><li>Strengthen the body to support bone density and muscle tone</li><li>Calm the nervous system to reduce stress and anxiety</li><li>Balance hormones naturally through breath and relaxation</li></ul>These sessions can also help improve mood, energy levels, and sleep quality — leaving you feeling grounded, restored, and empowered through every stage of life. Empowered Female Health Yoga – Everything You Need to Know<ul><li>Who can take part? We welcome everyone — from total beginners to experienced yogis! Kirsty, our qualified and experienced instructor, is great at leading mixed-ability sessions. It’s the perfect chance to try yoga for the first time. However, please note: If you're under the care of a doctor or medical professional, speak with them before attending. If you've been advised not to take part in physical activity, are pregnant, or have a medical condition, illness, or injury, please do not take part in Winter Wellness Yoga. Kirsty cannot offer specific medical advice, but she ensures plenty of accessible options during the session. Yoga is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk.</li><li>Do I need to book? Yes - please follow the link above to book tickets for this event.</li><li>Are families welcome? Although we welcome children at our events we ask that any children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or carer, who should stay nearby at all times. Parents/carers are fully responsible for their children during the session. Discussions during the class will be around female reproductive and hormonal health.</li><li>What should I bring? A yoga mat (or towel/blanket if you don’t have one). A limited number of mats will be available to borrow. Water and anything else to help you feel comfortable.</li><li>What should I wear? Anything comfy that you can move and stretch in!</li><li>Cancellations In the event of a cancellation we will endeavour to contact all ticket holders as soon as possible.</li><li>Small pay &amp; display car park at Coronation Park (proceeds support the park). Larger car park at Castle Green. Free parking nearby at Fairground car park and a limited amount of free parking outside The Old Cattle Market.</li></ul>Other FAQs Dogs are not permitted at yoga sessions. Events may be filmed/photographed and used by South Kerrier Alliance CIC or partners for promotion/evaluation. You won’t be asked any questions and your ticket options won’t be shared with anyone.£15 Supporter Ticket This ticket includes a donation to support other Community events and programmes delivered by South Kerrier Alliance CiC's.£12 Just a Ticket This ticket covers our core costs of the event.£6 Helping You Ticket If you can only afford this ticket right now we all understand£0 Ticket Draw If you cannot afford a ticket right now please enter our free ticket draw. We will give away as many tickets as we are able to and we will inform you if you have won tickets a minimum of three days before the event.
