Location: International House, BrixtonDescription: OBV is partnering with the Humanity Project (HP) to develop a new culture of Popular Assemblies—rooted in community listening and people-led politics. This initiative empowers Black and Asian communities to address key issues such as racism, climate action, and the cost of living crisis through structured deliberation and collective decision-making.As part of this collaboration, OBV is delivering accredited training, endorsed under the Quality Licence Scheme, to equip facilitators with practical skills for leading inclusive community conversations.This session contributes directly to the first Brixton People’s Assembly on 31st January 2026.What you will learn:<ul><li>How to create and maintain inclusive participation spaces</li><li>Facilitation techniques for small-group deliberation</li><li>Tools and strategies for People’s Assemblies</li><li>Encouraging constructive dialogue and participation</li><li>Managing low-level conflict and challenging dynamics</li></ul>Who should attend: Ideal for community leaders, facilitators, and anyone interested in supporting deliberative assemblies.Trainers: Lead: Moussa Amine Sylla Contributions: Lee Jasper (Race, Equality &amp; Accountability insights)Spaces are limited to 8–12 participants.Register now to secure your place!
