SCC - Carbon Literacy Training for the Arts, Events & Venue Sectors

Hosted in collaboration with Shakespeare’s Globe, Better Bankside and the Southwark Climate Collective are pleased to present this certified-Carbon Literacy training day for the arts, events and venues industries.
This full-day interactive course will explore climate change, its implications for your business, and practical steps you can take to drive positive action.
Participants will leave empowered with the knowledge and confidence to support their organisation’s sustainability goals and will receive an official Carbon Literacy certificate, recognising their achievement and commitment to climate action.
Registration
In order to join this training, please ensure your organisation has completed the Southwark Climate Collective Registration Form. This training is open to Southwark-based organisations in the Arts sector.

This in-person training event will take place at Shakespeare’s Globe Clink Street Offices: Soho Wharf, Floor One, 1 Clink St, London SE1 9DG.

The aims of the course are:
- To gain an understanding of the different greenhouse gases, where they come from and the impact they are having on our climate.
- To acquire a sense of urgency about the climate emergency.
- To know how you can reduce your carbon footprint.
- To understand your role in your company’s Carbon Reduction Plan and journey to Net Zero.
- To empower you to take action and influence others.

Better Bankside is a Business Improvement District (BID) dedicated to making Bankside a better place to live, work, and visit. Led by Better Bankside, the Southwark Climate Collective is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and supported by the Mayor of London.
