LSFF x Nunhead Community Cinema: London Lives

Each January, LSFF hosts ten days of short form, conversation and multidisciplinary curation. We present between 250-500 British and international films each edition, collaboratively programmed down from 5000+ open submissions, alongside Special Events and an industry offering of workshops, panels and discussion for filmmakers and workers.

London Short Film Festival is partnering with Nunhead Community Cinema to bring you a free screening of our popular programme London Lives.Across its streets, buses, basements, and bars, London holds countless acts of self-invention. From a viral myth about a ‘Jewish bus route’ to the radiant memory of a trans dancer reclaiming her story, each film engages with London as a site of friction and becoming.Some films flow through the city like a cyclist mapping its contours; others linger in forgotten corners like the ghosts of community spaces lost to development.
