See behind the scenes of the historic Couper Institute, in partnership with Glasgow Life.Couper Institute is a ‘B’ listed building situated on the Southside of Glasgow. It was designed by internationally renowned architect James Sellers and built with a legacy from local mill owner Robert Couper in 1887.Still in use today, the building is a popular venue for weddings, parties and events.

Join us as the beautiful Couper Institute rocks to the sound of Strathclyde University Big Band. With special guests including Janine Capaldi, we'll be jiving to classics by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and much more. PLUS we'll have a free dance class by the Glasgow Swing Dance troupe: learn to swing with the experts! Brought to you by Cathcart, Merrylee and Muirend Community Council, and generously funded by the Glasgow 850 Celebration Fund.
