Community Conversations: Learn With Post-Growth Economy Leaders

Community Conversations: Learn With Post-Growth Economy Leaders

Location TBD
Multiple dates
Overview

We’ll learn alongside leading voices in the post-growth economy, and connect their big ideas to our own everyday choices and communities.

What would our lives look like if the economy was designed for wellbeing, not endless growth? In this series of Community Conversations, we’ll learn alongside leading voices in the post-growth, inclusive and ecological economy, and connect their big ideas directly to our own everyday choices, work and communities.

Each event brings in a guest speaker to offer short, powerful stimulus: stories, frameworks and provocations from people actively reimagining how we organise money, work, care and resources. Economics is, at its core, a behaviour-based science – shaped by who we are, what we value, and how we relate to one another. Culture change sits right at the heart of building a more inclusive and ecological economy.

Rather than being passive audience members, we’ll move into facilitated conversations where we can:

  • Make sense of the ideas together
  • Relate them to our own lives, projects and neighbourhoods
  • Share experience across different sectors and perspectivesExplore how Together Culture can use these learnings to build community power

You don’t need to be an economist to join in - just curious and up for a good conversation.

Each evening stands alone, but the series is designed as a journey. Come to as many as you can to deepen your understanding of post-growth thinking, grow your confidence to talk about it with others, and connect with a community of people who want to do things differently.
