Diocesan Bible Course (Banbridge) Module 2

One fifth of all those attending the Church of Ireland are worshipping in Down and Dromore. Were are a vibrant and growing diocese, committed to mission through the local church. You will find us in East Belfast, Co Down and part of Co Armagh.

The highly rated course is being run over 1 year in Banbridge.  It consists of 3 modules of 10 sessions each. This sign up is for Module 2.

Holy Trinity Church of Ireland

This course is for Christians at any stage on their journey with God who want to know more about the Bible and how it relates to their lives. No prior theological knowledge or qualifications are needed! It will be particularly useful if you have responsibility for teaching the Bible as Sunday School teachers, youth group leaders, small group leaders, evangelists, church planters or lay readers. This course will lay a foundation for further theological training if desired.We meet on Wednesday evenings in Banbridge Parish Halls, Church Square, Banbridge, BT32 4AA, from 7.30-9.30pm (including a coffee break).Parking available. Each module is 10 weeks long. MODULE TWO: Starting Wednesday 14 January; one week off Wednesday 11 February (school half term); through to last evening on Wednesday 25 March 2026MODULE THREE: Starting Wednesday 15 April running continuously through to last evening of the Bible Course year on Wednesday 17 June 2026 Module Two: ‘In the beginning God...’Here we go back to the beginning of the Bible and see that everything starts with God (Genesis 1:1). We trace the story of God’s dealings with Israel through the 17 historical books of the Old Testament. We discover how God was announcing his plan to send Jesus from the very beginning. Who will be teaching the course?The course will be taught by Dr. Keith Gardiner, Bishop Harold Miller and Rev Stu Armstrong. What do we expect from you?• There are no exams or assignments.• Those who attend are encouraged to read further, but the most important thingis to come regularly with a Bible and a desire to learn more about God’s Word.• Certificates will be awarded to participants who attend all three modules for at least 70% of the course.• Ideally, participants should attend all the modules, but it is possible to sign upfor just one or two.• Each module costs £30 (payable at the beginning of each module).
