BrightenUp London @ Railside Community Garden
Join us in helping to create a stronger, greener community at SW London's wonderful Railside!
Looking to take part in BrightenUp London? Join us this January in helping a community garden to thrive!
In South London, local volunteers have transformed a disused area beside the railway into a peaceful community garden. With regular activites and events for both children and adults, Railside is very much enjoyed by those who visit. It is also an important source of support for the local homeless community.
Tasks for this season will include clearance, spreading compost, minor repairs, mulching and building a bug hotel!
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and join us in an oasis of calm. In Railside's words, whether you are a green-fingered gardening expert or have never picked up a trowel, you are welcome!
This event is part of our ongoing conservation campaign, BrightenUp London.
NB: If you are a group of 5 or more looking to come along on Wednesday 21st Jan, please contact georgia@handsonlondon.org.uk
Please wear suitable clothing and shoes for outdoor activites. Railside Community Garden is just a 15 minute walk from Streatham train station. We promise it is worth the walk!
