Girlguiding First Response Training - this is the 6-hour face to face course for new leaders or those needing to renew.

The fee is £12 per person and this is a legitimate unit expense. Payment can be made by credit/debit card and reimbursed from your unit. You may also pay be BACS , please add attendees surname and date of training

What you need to bring

· A packed lunch, and enough drinks and snacks to keep you going throughout the day

· If you're a note taker, please feel free to bring a notepad and pen- although this is not required!

· Please wear suitable clothing and footwear- uniform is not required.

This venue has disabled access into the building and toilets. Please contact Doreen or Pam if you need further information regarding this building. There is also car parking available.

There are several practical elements that you will be assessed on- these are done very informally but if you have any medicals that may prevent you from bending or carrying out these practical elements, please let your trainer know before the beginning of the course.

The course will be delivered with a mixture of presentation, verbally and practically. Please do let us know if you require any print outs or have any special requirements via email at least a week before the course.

You are required to complete an eLearning portion of the course in order for your certification to be valid. Please complete this here: 1st Response training | Girlguiding

Please note that Girlguiding are no longer providing paper certificates and that this is a Girlguiding qualification only and is not recognised outside of the organisation.

Completion of this training shows that you are trained to a required level within our organisation. Completion of this course is a permit to carry first aid duties within Guiding and Scouting. It is not recognised or transferable outside these charities, and Girlguiding will not recommend it outside the organisation.
