Culture, Community and Food Futures webinar

By Roots to Work
Online event

Overview

Join us to explore why culture, creativity and belonging are needed for a progressive food system for all.

Food systems aren’t just about supply chains and policy - they’re about people, culture and joy.

This online panel discussion brings together voices from across the sustainable food and farming movement to celebrate the knowledge, creativity and leadership that people from the global majority bring to food systems, and to explore what becomes possible when food movements centre belonging, care and culture.

Speakers, including author and food educator, Mallika Basu, will offer provocations to inspire those working in the movement to centre this work. The session will be facilitated by Sustain’s Diversity Outreach Coordinator, Sareta Puri. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to the panel.

This webinar is part of the Culture Roots Collective series, this panel celebrates and uplifts people from the global majority working across the UK sustainable food and farming sector.
