Cuentacuentos: Pequeña Frida
Discover Spanish children's literature, one story at a time...
The Instituto Cervantes in Manchester continues its storytelling series promoting children's reading. This time, in celebration of International Women's Day, we will be reading 'Pequeña Frida', by María Isabel Sánchez Vegara. With 'Pequeña Frida', we begin a cycle of three sessions of storytelling dedicated to some of the great figures of artistic creation in the Hispanic world.
Summary : Frida Kahlo was an incredible Mexican painter full of creative talent. Many of her works were self-portraits. Through her paintings we can see her life was sometimes sad and full of pain, but we can also feel the passion of this incredible, strong and brave woman.
In collaboration with Manchester City of Literature and Read Manchester - National Literacy Trust.

El Instituto Cervantes de Manchester continúa su programa de promoción de la lectura infantil. Esta sesión en celebracion del Día Internacional de la Mujer, leeremos 'Pequeña Frida', por María Isabel Sánchez Vegara. Con 'Pequeña Frida' comenzamos un ciclo de tres cuentacuentos dedicado a grades figuras de la creación artística en el mundo hispano.
Resumen: Frida Kahlo fue una impresionante pintora mexicana llena de talento creador. En muchos de sus cuadros se pintó a sí misma. A través de sus pinturas podemos conocer una vida a veces triste y llena de dolor, pero conocemos también la pasión de una mujer genial, valiente y luchadora.

Edad recomendada: a partir de 6 años.
