Overview

A relaxed, practical space to plan, collaborate, and get real-time support

About the event

Join us for our informal lunchtime drop‑in sessions in the run-up to vital local elections in May 2026.

These sessions are designed as a supportive space for campaigners and local groups to share updates, test ideas, and get hands‑on help with whatever you’re working on.

Whether you’re fine‑tuning a social media post, shaping a community engagement plan, or preparing for a meeting with an election candidate, this is your space to get practical guidance and constructive feedback.

Who is this for?

These drop‑ins are open to:

  • Local activist and campaign groups working on the May elections
  • Activists working on upcoming actions or events
  • Anyone wanting personalised support on campaign activities

Come as a group or come alone—everyone is welcome.

Why attend?

Use the space to get support on:

  • Social media content and planning
  • Local media outreach
  • Community engagement and event ideas
  • Preparing to meet with an election candidate
  • Troubleshooting challenges in your current campaign plans
  • Any other activity you want specialist input on

These sessions are designed to help you:

  • Build confidence in your campaign planning
  • Progress your work more quickly with hands‑on support
  • Connect with peers and share what’s working locally
  • Leave each session with clearer next steps

What to expect/agenda

The sessions will be an informal opportunity to get direct support from campaign and activism staff and fellow activists.

There is no fixed agenda and you're not expected to attend for the full hour. If you have a problem or question, simply drop in for as long as you need and we'll tackle it together.

Your hosts/facilitators

Each session will be facilitated by staff members including a Campaign Activism Advisor, a Regional Campaigns Organiser and a Campaigner.
