Snowdrops at Wye Valley Sculpture Garden
Overview

Experience winter snowdrops at Wye Valley Sculpture Garden, a fleeting moment of magic, calm and seasonal beauty! An annual sell-out event.

Winter Snowdrops

Come join us at the Wye Valley Sculpture Garden for a magical winter experience surrounded by beautiful snowdrops. Step into the quiet beauty of winter at Wye Valley Sculpture Garden, nestled in the Wye Valley. Each year, for a short mid-winter opening, the garden reveals one of its most magical moments as snowdrops begin to emerge beneath frosty skies, a gentle sign of renewal at the heart of winter.

Snowdrops have been nurtured here since the 1970s, and today the collection spans more than 80 varieties, spread across three acres of meadow, woodland and sculpted slopes. During your visit, you’ll wander peaceful paths among soft carpets of white, with sculptures resting quietly in the landscape, creating a deeply atmospheric and restorative experience.

This year’s snowdrop season also includes the chance to discover a number of new sculptures on display, all available for purchase, adding an extra layer of discovery to the winter walk.

To preserve the tranquillity of the garden, visits are limited to pre-bookable 1.5-hour time slots, ensuring a calm, unhurried experience. This is an annual sell-out event, with visitors travelling from near and far to enjoy the stillness and beauty of the season.

During the snowdrop opening, over 30 snowdrop varieties will be available to buy. Visitors can reserve plants in advance via the website shop and collect them during their visit. A chance to take home a living reminder of this fleeting winter moment.

Event details:

  • Dates: 29 January – 15 February 2025
  • Open: Thursday to Sunday
  • Time: 1:00pm – 4:00pm

This is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature, to experience winter not as something to rush through, but as a season with its own quiet purpose and beauty.

Weather Disclaimer & Refunds

Wye Valley Sculpture Garden events take place outdoors and are subject to weather conditions. Please dress appropriately for winter weather. In the unlikely event that the event is cancelled due to extreme weather, tickets will be refunded minus the Eventbrite booking fee.

Important Visitor Information

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we do not allow dogs in the garden. This is an outdoor art gallery, and our insurance does not cover dogs. We’ve also found that expectations of “well-behaved” dogs can vary!

Guide dogs and therapy dogs are always welcome. Thank you for your understanding and helping us keep the garden peaceful for all visitors.
