About Content Futures 2026
Content Futures 2026 is a new, cohort-based accelerator for established companies responding to changed market conditions, including fewer commissions, shifting audience behaviour and higher development risk.
The programme supports companies to explore new ways to finance and monetise their content, from co-productions and alternative finance models to digital revenue streams and branded entertainment. Alongside this, participants take part in bespoke industry briefings with broadcasters and streamers, masterclasses on using audience data to drive development, refining company USP and vision, and understanding commissioning trends and market potential. Practical sessions on applied technology and AI are embedded throughout.
The programme culminates in structured opportunities to meet potential new partners, including distributors, brand agencies and other funding partners, with a focus on building relationships that can support the financing and growth of future content.
Who should apply
Applications are open to UK-based independent production companies working across scripted and non-scripted genres.
The programme is also open to Indielab alumni, recognising that many experienced companies are now facing very different challenges from those earlier in their growth journey. Please note that this is a newly designed programme, not a repeat of previous accelerators.
Places are limited and demand is expected to be high. We strongly encourage potential applicants to attend one of the online briefings to find out more.
