Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars - Tamsyn Kelly (IWD Special)
Free comedy at Glasgow's OG comedy club - in the Merchant City.
Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars returns to Glasgow's OG comedy club on Monday 9th March - with a phenomenal all-female lineup in celebration of International Women's Day
This week's headliner is Tamsyn Kelly. The Cornish powerhouse has supported Seann Walsh and Omid Djalili, as well as appearing in the likes Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV) and Comedy Cental Live (CC). She has been a finalist in both BBC New Comedian of the Year and Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year.
- "Endearingly giddy...an emphatic yet vulnerable performer" (The Skinny)
- "With a microphone in one hand and a prosecco in the other, Kelly coolly addresses the audience, creating a casual atmosphere that puts everyone in the room at ease." (Broadway World)
Supporting Kelly is the brilliant Shannon Brooke - an Australian comedian who has wound up in Edinburgh via Berlin! A champion rast battler who is known for storytelling and silliness, Brooke has been a great addition to the Scottish comedy scene.
Our guest host this week is popstar-come-comedian-come-DJ Amelia Bayler. A former winner of Best Newcomer at the Scottish Comedy Awards finalist in the Musical Comedy Awards, she brings an iconic energy to hosting duties.
We'll also have sets from some of the brilliant new female comedians on the Scottish scene.
Doors 7.45pm, show 8pm.
