Kick off 2026 with creativity, collaboration, and the Swansea Illustrators Club [SIC]!Whether you’ve already broken your New Year’s resolutions or are still sticking to them, they make for excellent creative fuel. Join us at <a href="https://www.elysiumgallery.com/" title="https://www.elysiumgallery.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Elysium</a> for our first meet-up of the year: a dynamic 2-hour workshop focused on the art of the Visual Metaphor.The Workshop - In this session, we will move away from literal interpretations and explore how to communicate abstract concepts through drawing. Using "New Year's Resolutions" as our prompts, we will tackle a series of quick-fire exercises designed to stretch your lateral thinking muscles. This is a chance to:<ul><li>Collaborate &amp; Connect: Share work and ideas with fellow illustrators in a relaxed group setting.</li><li>Get Feedback: Receive constructive input from industry professionals and peers.</li><li>Play: Enjoy a genuinely fun, low-pressure environment to experiment with new ideas.</li></ul> Materials Provided (The "Lo-Fi" Edit) We believe creativity thrives within constraints! We will be providing the materials, embracing a "back-to-basics" approach with classic pencils and A3 copier paper. No need to bring expensive equipment (unless you want to)—just bring your brain and your enthusiasm. About SIC: <a href="https://www.instagram.com/swanseaillustratorsclub" title="https://www.instagram.com/swanseaillustratorsclub" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Swansea Illustrator’s Club</a> is a friendly, informal meet-up for illustrators in and around Swansea to connect, explore ideas, and find support. This meet-up is open to all illustrators - whether you are a student, a seasoned professional, or just starting out. It is a space to meet peers, share experiences, and get the creative juices flowing for the year ahead. These meet-ups are hosted by <a href="https://www.tswolfe.com/" title="https://www.tswolfe.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tom Wolfe</a>. <h4>Accessibility</h4>The AOI would like to make events accessible to all, where possible.
