SIKA SOUND JOURNEY : BETWEEN THE WORLDS - THE GATHERING FIRE
C
Ancient Technology CentreCranborne, England
Friday, July 3 • 7:30 PM - 10 PM
Overview
Sika's back with an evening ceremonial Sound Journey held around a central fire at his favourite venue in the UK.
A Fire-Lit Evening of Sound Journey Magic with Sika
In a field on the outskirts of Cranborne village, there is a hill - and it has a door.
This is the Earth House: a 200-seat theatre shaped from the land itself, lit by lamp-glow and fire-light, roofed in earth and held by 21 great oak trunks. Its natural acoustics amplify sound into something that is felt as much as heard.
You are invited to gather here - seated on wooden benches or lying on the earthy floor - breathing together beneath the living roof, as the fire is lit and the listening and sound absorbing begins.
Between The Worlds - The Gathering Fire is an open ceremonial Sound Journey shaped by over 30 years of Sika’s sound-journeying practice. It is not a concert, not a workshop, and not an explanation.
It is an experience you don’t just listen to - you enter.
Through ancient and elemental sounds - didgeridoo, drums, native flutes, rattles, leaves, stones, shells, bones, breath and voice - Sika plays intuitively, sensing into the energy of the space and those gathered within it. Field recordings, primal rhythm, silence and live looping weave together into a living soundscape.
Some sounds may feel soothing and expansive. Others may feel haunting, raw or unfamiliar.
“This is all part of the experience,” says Sika.
“It takes courage to look deeply into our fears and feelings - but that path can be very healing.”
This is a sonic journey through inner landscapes - worlds within and places between worlds - like a soundtrack crafted for your life’s unseen story. A space where the Earth House itself becomes a sacred listening vessel, and the fire a silent, dancing witness.
The Sound Journey begins and completes with a short guided visualisation and unfolds in two journeys with an interval between, allowing time to integrate, settle, deeply breathe and return.
No prior experience is needed. Come as you are.
Practical details:
• Friday evening : 7.30–10.00pm
• Doors open 6.45pm for a prompt start
