Twilight at the Museums: Tales from Antarctica

The Polar MuseumCambridge, Cambridgeshire
Wednesday, Feb 18 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm GMT
Overview

Join us for a tale from the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration and time in the Polar Museum after dark!

Welcome to Twilight at the Polar Museum, an evening filled with our favourite stories and tales from Antarctica. You'll start in the Lecture Theatre, where we'll dim the lights and you'll listen to the story of the Winter Journey, accompanied by images from our collection. We'll need your help with sound effects to really bring the story to life!

Next, you'll head in for a special after-hours visit to the Museum, where we'll have staff and volunteers ready to chat all about their favourite displays and heroic histories. We'll have a range of object handling opportunities, from an Edwardian magnifying glass to a replica penguin skull to the type of clothing that kept the Antarctic explorers safe.

Spaces are limited - please book a ticket for each member of your group, including toddlers and babies. If for some reason you're no longer able to attend, please cancel your booking so another family can join us.

There are three booking options:

4:30 - 5:20pm

5:30 - 6:20pm

6:30 - 7:20pm

Please ensure you arrive at the correct time for your booked ticket. Doors will open five minutes before the booking - please enter through the side doors.

We look forward to welcoming you!
