Replenishing your spirit - good practice for self care
Overview
Delivering creative activities for others can be deeply rewarding—but it can also leave practitioners forgetting to care for themselves. This online session offers a gentle, supportive space to explore self-care, discover practical strategies, and reflect on how to bring creativity into your own wellbeing practices.
Together, we’ll look at what supports and what gets in the way of self-care, and explore creative approaches to maintaining balance, resilience, and personal wellbeing. The session is interactive, giving time for reflection, discussion, and practical ideas you can put into practice immediately.
The session is led by Jayne Howard, Director of Arts Well CIC, who brings over 20 years’ experience working in arts and health at both operational and strategic levels. Jayne is known for creating thoughtful, inclusive learning spaces and is also Programme Manager at the National Centre for Creative Health, a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs and the Royal Society of Arts, and an Associate Member of the Royal Society for Public Health.
Participants consistently describe these sessions as practical, generous, and inspiring:
“The workshops were educational, practical and enlightening. They were a great place to learn.”
“Really useful information and advice. Focusing, positive and galvanising.”
“Very informative and beautifully delivered. Outstanding!”
“Great to have all the information and links sent through afterwards. Very generous.”
Sessions take place on Zoom with small groups of 4–16 participants, allowing plenty of time for discussion, reflection, and questions, and a strong focus on helping you put your learning into practice.
To make the sessions as accessible as possible, they are available at a range of price points, including a donation option, so everyone can take part whatever their circumstances.
