Birth Stories Project - Creative Writing Workshop (in 2 parts). Online.
Overview
Participate in the Birth Stories Project!
A unique and creative two part workshop hosted on Zoom on February 21st and March 14th. (Please be available for both sessions).
This workshop is part of the our Birth Stories project, which aims to enable women and birthing people to share aspects of a birth story through creative word-play. This is open to all, you only need to have a desire and readiness to participate creatively.
Get ready for a fun and inspiring Creative Writing Workshop — all online and split into 2 exciting parts. This is the perfect space to share and craft beautiful birth stories, facilitated by two professional facilitators (see Bios below). Dive into what feels right, finding ways to express through words and writing with supportive folks from the comfort of your home.
As this is a two part session, we will be aim to complete the different pieces of writing by the end of the second session.
There will be the opportunity to take part in a recorded group piece of creative writing in the form of a poem and this recording will form part of the Birth Stories project exhibition in the Autumn of 2026. (It will be just the audio aspect that will be recorded).

About the Birth Stories project
Your birth story can inspire change. Birth is one of life’s most profound and transformative experiences, yet too often, the voices of birthing parents go unheard. At the Sacred Birth Centre, we believe that every birth story matters—whether it was empowering, challenging, or somewhere in between. By sharing your experience, you help break the silence, build understanding, and contribute to a movement that reclaims birth as a respected, supported journey.Utilising Art and Poetry to raise awareness and bring healing. Culminating in an Arts Exhibition in 2026
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we will be holding workshops across Somerset and online from January 2026. Where you can share your birth story, create art, write poetry or record your story.
