Overview

We are looking for volunteers to help record the presence and abundance of intertidal species within the BMR.

We are looking for volunteers to help record the presence and abundance of intertidal species within the BMR. The data collected will add to a growing database to help improve our knowledge and contribute to better management of marine life in our waters.

Due to the nature of the work, there is a minimum age requirement of 14, and volunteers must be physically fit to work in and around rockpools. Each survey takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete.

Due to the changing weather and sea conditions, this event may be cancelled at short notice. We will post on this event if that is the case, or email you directly.

What to bring:

Wellies, or wetsuit boots/shoes (no open-toed footwear).
Suitable clothing for the weather (sun hats, suncream if warm/woollen hats, warm layers if cooler).
