Belonging with Impact: Evidencing Inclusive Leadership and Governance
Join us for this webinar for governors and trustees leading on DEIB in schools, colleges and trusts
Call to Action:
We believe that every school/ college/ trust needs a strategic plan for establishing, embedding and sustaining their DEIB strategy. We need the strategic leaders of our schools, our colleges and our trusts to become conscious, confident and competent in shaping the institutional DEIB strategy.
Overview:
This session builds on the foundational work of DEIB leadership by supporting leaders and those responsible for governance to ensure that belonging is not only articulated but led well and governed effectively.
Whilst leaders and those responsible for governance can often be confident in their inclusive vision and intent, they can be less confident in explaining how inclusive leadership improves culture, behaviour and outcomes and what evidence is available to prove impact. This training supports leaders, governors and trustees to strengthen their strategic oversight and understand what meaningful evidence of impact looks like through a leadership and governance lens.
The session is rooted in the Ofsted inspection framework, without reducing DEIB to a checklist. Instead, it helps strategic school leaders demonstrate how inclusive leadership is embedded and impactful.
Who this session is for:
· School leaders, governors and trustees
· Chairs and vice chairs
· Trust board members and local governing committees
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the session, participants will:
· Understand how belonging sits within leadership and governance
· Be confident in the school’s Public Sector Equality Duty objectives
· Be clearer about the board’s role in evidencing inclusive leadership
· Feel more confident asking strategic, evidence-informed questions
· Identify practical next steps to strengthen governance practice.
