Open to all Stepney clergy and laity.

The day will include worship, presentations/talks, breakout groups and food. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather together as the Stepney Area and champion our lay church members, pushing into whole-church discipleship and lay leadership.

DEE (DOREEN) AGYEI is a Senior Vision & Strategy Consultant with the Church of England, supporting dioceses to develop missional strategies and investment programmes that deliver transformational change. With over 18 years’ experience, she has worked across faith, education, technology, and public sectors. Dee holds a PhD in Strategic Management and lives in southwest London”.

PETE HUGHES planted KXC with his wife Bee in 2010, establishing a community with the simple vision to recklessly give themselves away to God, each other, and the people of King’s Cross and beyond. Pete has also written a book on joining God’s story of recreation, called ‘All Things New’.

SEMINAR: Making Disciples that grow churches

MIRJAM NGOY-VERHAGE works as Discipleship Enabler for the Diocese of London, supporting communities in deepening faith and discipleship. Originally from the Netherlands, she moved to England to study Theology & Ministry. She is a trained Spiritual Director, a trustee of the London Centre for Spiritual Direction, and a member of the Nazareth Community.

SEMINAR: Reimagining Discipleship: Nurturing Communal Formation

ROD GREEN became Bishop of Stepney in May this year, after serving as Archdeacon of Llandaff in the Church in Wales from September 2021. Ordained priest in the Stepney Area in 2008, he served his curacy at Christ Church Spitalfields, later becoming Associate Rector at St Paul’s Shadwell and Vicar at St Peter’s West Harrow. He has deep roots in Stepney, where his children were born and his father grew up; his wife, Joanne, works for Wateraid in Canary Wharf.
