Overview

This insightful session shares how to respond to grief and bereavement in a Secondary Setting with confidence, care, and compassion.

Do you work in a Secondary Setting? This event is for you!

When a young person is grieving, it can leave you feeling unsure and worried about saying or doing the wrong thing.

You want to support them but without turning a normal human response into something that feels like it needs to be fixed.

This practical workshop gives you the space to slow down and think it through.

Together, we’ll look at what grief and bereavement can look like for young people, how it might show up in your setting, and how to respond with confidence, care, and compassion without pathologising something that’s part of being human.

You’ll leave with clear, realistic ways to support a child day to day, in school and beyond, so you feel steadier and more sure in those hard moments.

Please note this specific event is tailored for secondary educators. We are also hosting an event for primary educators on 10th March at 4pm. To register for tickets, please use the following link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1981107169875?aff=oddtdtcreator
