Overview

We share practical strategies for early years and primary educators to support children who are experiencing grief and bereavement.

Do you work in the Early Years or a Primary setting? This event is for you!

When a child is grieving, it can leave you feeling unsure and worried about saying or doing the wrong thing.

You want to support them, but without turning a normal human response into something that feels like it needs to be fixed.

This practical workshop gives you the space to slow down and think it through.

Together, we’ll look at what grief and bereavement can look like for children, how it might show up in your setting, and how to respond with confidence, care, and compassion without pathologising something that’s part of being human.

You’ll leave with clear, realistic ways to support a child day to day, in school and beyond, so you feel steadier and more sure in those hard moments.

Please note: This event is tailored for EYFS and primary practitioners. We have a dedicated event for secondary educators on Thursday 12th March at 4pm. Tickets for the secondary-focused event are available through this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1981092694579?aff=oddtdtcreator
