Exploring Outcomes in Dramatherapy

Online event

Overview

This informative, reflective & creative training allows dramatherapists to distinguish, develop, measure and communicate outcomes in therapy

‘Outcomes’ can be defined as the products of a process that indicate change. These can include personal processes, relational processes, and practical processes. For example, a relationship between a therapist and a client will change throughout the therapeutic process to produce an outcome, whether this is a new perspective on attachment or a new relationship with trust.

‘Exploring Outcomes in Dramatherapy’ is an interactive, online workshop that will encourage participants to explore what they consider as outcomes in dramatherapy practice. The workshop will consist of some learning through powerpoint, some personal reflection, and some group discussion. There will be a mix of verbal and creative learning. This workshop is suitable for any dramatherapists currently working with clients or hoping to work with clients in the future.

By the end of this workshop, you will have a clearer idea of:

• How to distinguish and develop outcomes

• How your work is impacted by desired outcomes of the client, the therapist, and any other organisations or relevant parties (e.g., parents)

• How you might measure outcomes

• How you can communicate outcomes

What is required:

• Paper

• Pens and pencils

• Any creative arts materials that you have handy (e.g., glue, feathers, paints, beads, materials
