Mortimer Nannies X Wilderness Festival FAMILY FIELD/KIDS AREA
The Keepers of calm are thrilled to be returning to care for your Wildlings in 2026.
Keepers of calm, Mortimer Nannies are thrilled to be returning to Wilderness Festival for their 12th year. The experienced team of fun, creative Nannies and Assistants are hosting various play sessions each day between 12pm-12am in their cosy HQ.
Each session will be manned by the Mortimer Team which is made up of qualified Nannies, Child Carers and DBS checked assistants – all who have been carefully vetted and chosen with Festivals in mind. With generous Adult:Child ratios and decades of experience you can be assured that the children will be safe, happy and having just as much fun as you.
The Mortimer Yurt is decked out with board games, fancy dress, toys and cosy nooks with blankets and beanbags. The Nannies will be keeping their charges busy with a tiring range of messy, crafty, fun activities and outdoor games. By night it will be time to chill out and snuggle down – there will be beds, blankets and cushions with the opportunity to play board games by torchlight, listen to a story, get arty in the craft corner or simply watch a movie and drift off to sleep.
These sessions are situated in the family field in our yurt - for our Boutique sessions visit our website.
‘Thank you so much for making our first Wilderness such a fantastic experience and for looking after our little B so beautifully! Lauren and Kelly were absolutely amazing - calm, reassuring, friendly, knowledgeable ... and that was just with the nervous parents! Thanks to them we felt comfortable leaving B and going off for 4 wonderful hours of music, dancing and remembering why we got together. B slept through the whole thing and even slept in late the next morning. We will definitely be back next year!’
'We were so impressed with Mortimer Nannies at Standon Calling festival. Our 15 month old had only ever been babysat by relatives before, so we were a bit nervous about how he might cope with us leaving him.We were immediately put at ease, as the provision was excellent. We had chosen the 8-12 midnight timeslot and the children were so cosy tucked up in their individual sleep pods in a lovely calm environment. The nannies were happy to give lots of cuddles and reassurance, and they kept us updated on how he was settling via text. This communication was so important to us, as it meant we could really relax and enjoy our few hours off, whilst getting regular updates to let us know that our little one was ok. We had a great dance in the 'Hospitality Takeover' arena- it was like a little hop into life pre-baby! Thank you so much Mortimer Nannies for taking such good care of our monkey '
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE SESSIONS ARE TO BE HELD IN THE NANNY TENT WHICH WILL BE SITUATED IN THE KIDS AREA. PRIVATE 'IN TENT' NANNIES MAY BE AVAILABLE AS A SEPARATE BOOKING AND FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST.
FAQs
Where are these sessions held?
You can find us in the main family field in the festival arena, if you would prefer our Boutique option please visit our website.
What ages do you cater for?
All ages from babies to approximately 10 years - we plan activities based on our bookings and have three separate structures - one for babies, one for smaller children and a third for the older ones. If older siblings want to join us we are more than happy to accommodate. Please note that during the evening sessions , we are situated quite close the main arena so it can be noisy - we provide bluetooth headphones for the over 2's - if you have a baby it may be worth considering an 'in tent' Nanny.
Do you provide food?
Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to safely store or produce food ourselves but you are welcome to bring snacks along , but please no nuts as we have children with allergies. We do of course keep the children regularly topped up with drinking water.
Are tickets exchanchable or refundable?
Unfortunately tickets are none refundable and none exchangeable. Please do contact Tanja below if you have any issues .
