Nature Treats: Walking Lunch
Come with me on a walking lunch to enjoy the first green and fungi on Corstorphine Hill, one of Edinburgh City's lovely green spaces.
Explore with me early spring on Corstorphine Hill, one of Edinburgh's lovely green spaces. We will meet at the Walled Garden, take a gentle walk through February woods and meadows, look at the edible and toxic wild plants and fungi that are already emerging this early in the year, discuss foraging laws, ethics, and safety, and learn how to tap birch sap (though it won't be flowing yet for a few weeks) and taste the wild flavours we encounter in a variety of delicious and surprising foods and drinks. Our walk will be 3-4 hours long, go over muddy, uneven and steep terrain, and include foraged food and drink samples. (please message me in advance about dietary requirements)
