Our missionis to promote understanding of why infant mental health is important, and to support the professional development of all practitioners working with parents, infants and toddlers.AiMH UK is an interdisciplinary, not-for-profit organization, promoting understanding about infant mental health (IMH).  AiMH’s primary function is to support the UK community of infant mental health practitioners to come together and learn from each other and to contribute to the raising of standards of IMH practice. 'The Stories that Make us: Applying the Meaning of the Child Interview (MotC) in Parent-Infant Practice'

AiMH UK Spring Workshop 2026Led by Dr Ben Grey, developer of the MotC and author of the newly released The Meaning of the Child Interview:‘Making Sense of Parent Child Relationships’ this workshop will outline the basic principles of the MotC and illustrate it's use in clinical practice with parents and infants. The workshop will offer case examples, interview excerpts and videos to show how the approach can offer a practice path based on understanding parents’ perceptions of their infants and include:<ul><li>An introduction to using the MotC</li><li>The meaning of the infant in the couple relationship</li><li>The application of the MotC in practice with parents and infants</li></ul>
