BIFPA in-conversation: 'You had to be there'
A breakfast event which celebrates groundbreaking performance projects in Belfast
10am gather, 10.15am start, 12pm finish
PS2 Project Space
Free, and open to all
We hope that you can join us for a breakfast event which celebrates the long view of groundbreaking performance projects that have taken place in Belfast since the 1990s.
Celebrating key people including BIFPA founder Brian Connolly, Bbeyond founder Brian Patterson, alongside pivotal organisations such as ARE, Catalyst Arts, Array and key projects such as the influential FIX Festival, BOUNCE and Belfast 2024. We will be taking a practice-led lens on the influence and impact that performance programming has had on artist-led organisations, and sharing the significant moments and memories of actions that could be said to have “changed everything”. There will be plenty of time for discussion between attendees, speakers and guests to reflect on the past, present and possible future of performance in the city.
Refreshments including teas, coffees, pastries and fruit will be provided.
A range of seating options are available, including chairs, benches, and beanbags. Please contact jane@pssquared.org to confirm any access requirements, e.g. a hard-backed chair, so that these can be reserved for you.
