Have you always wanted to have a go at being an Archaeologist? Well, now you can…. Whether you are new to archaeology or looking to gain some practical experience for an educational course, we have several opportunities to get involved.

This is our fourth year digging a site which offers the rare and important opportunity to study the origins of a long abandoned upland settlement at the historic Cwmffwrn farmstead, which lies within the home grange of Abbey Cwmhir, in mid Wales.

Abbey Cwmhir Heritage Trust welcomes you to work alongside our team of dedicated volunteers, led by Trysor, our professional archaeologists, over two weeks in July 2026.
