This is for girls in their “starting over” era, whether that’s after a breakup, a move, a career change, or just wanting new energy. You don’t need to be at a certain stage in life. If you’re rebuilding or just want to meet like-minded girls in Brighton, you’re exactly who this is for.

Yes, and it’s encouraged. Most people will be coming solo. The whole idea is creating a space where showing up alone feels normal and comfortable. No awkward introductions, no pressure, just a relaxed walk and chit chat.

Who is organising this?

Hi, I’m Lucy! I started Girls Who Begin because making new friends can feel hard when you’re in between chapters. I’m rebuilding too, and wanted to create something I’d need, a low-pressure space to meet good people and reset before the week. Just real girls, real conversations, and a Sunday reset.

What actually happens on the day?

We’ll meet outside Rockwater Hove at 10:30 am, go for a relaxed walk along the seafront, and then head to 1360 for an optional coffee after. You’re free to stay for as long (or as little) as you like. No structure, no forced icebreakers, just good vibes.
