Sound In Nature: Soundbaths at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

Sound In Nature: Soundbaths at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

Overview

A unique immersive experience combining the stunning natural environment with the beautiful therapeutic sounds of the gongs.

Rebalance yourself with sound

Listen to the calming sounds of a variety of gongs, singing bowls and gentle percussion in a therapeutic sonic experience for relaxation and well-being.

I chose beautiful and inspiring locations to add to the overall experience to make every event immersive and memorable. I play in a sensitive and and intricate manner using a range of multi-sensory techniques to providing a different and personal approach, allowing for a deep level of meditation and connection with sound.

Sound and well-being

Its important to make time for ourselves, and to look after our wellbeing. These sessions use a range of large gongs, played in a gentle and sensitive manner to help achieve a deep sense of relaxation and meditation which can help to restore the mind and body back to equilibrium.

What to expect

You will rest comfortably on the floor and listen to the sounds. You are not expected to do anything physically active. The session is aimed at relaxation and rest. Participants normally stay awake but reach a deep dreamlike state which can be extremely therapeutic for both the mind and body.

I normally bring 3-4 large gongs, and 10-20 singing bowls, long with other gentle percussion, chimes and other instruments. The instruments vary with each session.

No previous experience is needed, and all will be explained before the session.

What to bring

Please bring a mat (yoga mat/camping mat etc), one or two blankets, a pillow, eye covering and a bottle of water.

I do have spare mats available if requested in advance.

How to prepare

The sound therapy session is a 2 way process, a connection made between you and the sound. Please arrive 15 minutes early to get settled in advance. When you arrive take the time to rest quietly in the gong space, slow down your breathing, clear the mind and relax. The more prepared you are the greater the benefit you will feel.

Please enjoy the quiet space when you arrive and respect others around you who will be preparing too.

Contact me in advance if you are unsure of directions to the venue.

Other benefits can include:

Promoting relaxation and well-being

Aids good sleep and reducing effects of insomnia

Improved circulation and boosting the immune system
