The Creative Calm - The SEN Parent Well-Being Hour

The Creative Calm - The SEN Parent Well-Being Hour

Sobo BeachSouthbourne, England
Tuesday, Mar 10, 2026 from 10 am to 11 am GMT
Overview

A gentle wellbeing workshop giving parents and carers of children with additional needs space to pause, breathe and feel supported.

The Creative Calm - The SEN Parent Well-Being Hour

The Creative Calm was created to offer a warm, understanding environment where parents can slow down, recharge and feel supported.

Each workshop gently combines simple breathing and calming techniques with a small creative activity designed to help parents relax and reconnect with themselves. There is also time to chat and share experiences with other parents who understand the unique joys and challenges of raising a child with additional needs. There is no pressure to talk or take part beyond what feels comfortable, and no creative experience is needed.

The Creative Calm is led by Jacqui Strubel, founder of Flourish Teaching.

With a background as a SENCO and children’s counsellor, alongside lived experience as a parent of a young adult with dyscalculia, Jacqui understands both the professional and emotional aspects of supporting neurodiverse children and their families.

The workshop welcomes parents and carers of children with learning differences, neurodiversity, dyscalculia or school-related anxiety. A formal diagnosis is not required.

Places are kept intentionally small to help create a calm and supportive atmosphere.

Your space is waiting fore you, hoping you can find an hour to join us.
