Balance - Ministry Family Day

A day out for households where an adult is employed in church ministry; such a clergy, chaplains or children and youth workers.

If you work in church ministry and have under 18's in your household, then come and enjoy a family day at the Horstead Centre with:

• 3 exciting outdoor activities, led by instructors.
• Time to meet, chill and chat with other families and share your experiences
• BBQ to finish

Participation for younger children (approximately 4 years+) will depend on the individual child's ability, fitting into equipment and confidence. This will be something that the instructors will have to chat to the parent/legal guardian about on the day before the activity starts.

Members of your party who are younger than 4 years or would prefer not to take part are still welcome, but please register them as 'non-participants' and some alternative activities will be available.

Refreshments

Refreshments and snacks will be provided on arrival and during the day, but please bring your own packed lunch.

A catered BBQ will be provided at the end of the day 5pm-6pm. Please let us know when booking if you have any dietary requirements and whether you will be staying for the BBQ.

How much does it cost?

There is no charge for the day, we want to treat you!

But regarding cancellation....

We offer this event for free as an opportunity for those in ministry to enjoy a day with their family, we see it as a great investment but it's disappointing when people cancel at short notice or don't turn up on the day. The impact of this is that it takes valuable places away from others who may otherwise have booked and costs us financially and in administrative time. If you book and find you can no longer attend before the booking deadline, please contact us / cancel your booking so the tickets can be released. Cancellations after the booking deadline and no-shows on the day will be charged at £10 per ticket. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us to be good stewards.

Booking

Advance booking is required. The booking deadline is 11.59pm on Sunday 26th April.

It is essential you book by the deadline as we have to confirm arrangments with the Horstead Centre. Unfortunately we are unable to take bookings after this date.

Ticket types:

'Participant' ticket - for anyone (over the age of 4 years) who would like to participate in outdoor activities led by the Horstead Centre instructors (subject to the instructors approval).

'Non-Participant' ticket - for anyone under 4 years of age or anyone over 4 years of age in your party who does not wish to participate in any of the instructor led activities.
