Little Troopers Fun Runs & Month of the Military Child Celebration Day

Celebrate Month of the Military Child this April with Little Troopers in Portsmouth with a fun run and military family celebration day.

Little Troopers is back with our annual fun run and celebration event for the Month of the Military Child. In 2026, we’re heading to Portsmouth!

Join us for a fun, family-friendly day and take part in one of two fun run distances around the track for military children (and adults too!):

• 1km Dandelion Toddle – 2.5 laps
• 3km Dandelion Dash – 7.5 laps, suitable for older children

Everyone is encouraged to get involved and help raise vital funds for Little Troopers. Every penny raised helps us continue our work supporting thousands of military children across the UK each year.

Children and their families will complete their run on the all-weather running track — or as many laps as they can manage — making it a fun and inclusive event for all abilities.

Across the day, there will be a range of family-friendly activities, including music and stalls and we warmly invite you to stay, celebrate and enjoy the day with us.

Entry to the fun run includes a medal and certificate for all participants.
