Harmony GardensLondon, England
Saturday, Mar 21 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm
Overview

We will take you through the fundamentals of gardening and growing - perfect for someone just getting into their first garden or plot.

Are you new to gardening and want to get off on the right welly? Well this is just for you. A 3 hour intensive introduction delivered by Harmony's growing team, covering the following elements:

  1. Planning & assessing your space
  2. Soil
  3. Growing from seed, plants and propagation
  4. Nurturing growth - watering, feeding & biodiversity
  5. Garden maintenance, bringing it all together

This will be followed by a Q&A and and tour of the gardens (optional).

This is a crash course for those willing to do some gardening but are new to it and too busy for the big courses!

Harmony Gardens is a unique community growing space next to Broadwater Farm and Lordship Recreation Ground in the heart of Tottenham, Haringey. This hidden gem is a peaceful haven for wildlife and locals alike, with raised beds for growing organic vegetables, fruit trees, wildflowers and two wildlife ponds. Your fee will cover the workshop costs and go towards the continued running of the project. Concessions are available for the unwaged, please email Mike below.

Please bring:

Suitable outdoor clothes and sturdy footwear (the workshop will mostly be outdoors in the fresh air)
